The Kashvi Udaan Programme

Kashvi Udaan offers a flexible, tech-enabled learning experience that enables out-of-school learners aged 15 and above to complete their Grade 10 and Grade 12 education through the National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS). This online model is designed for learners who may not be able to attend physical centres due to geographical, familial, or personal constraints. It caters to a slightly different demographic including in its fold semi urban and urban women who are working elsewhere.

Kashvi Udaan Aims To

  • Enable out-of-school adolescents and adults to complete NIOS Grade 10 and 12 through fully online academic support.
  • Provide structured access to live zoom classes tailored to NIOS curriculum.
  • Offer virtual mentoring, doubt-clearing sessions, and peer learning spaces to foster continuity and confidence.
  • Include digital life skills that build self-confidence, decision-making, and goal-setting.

Theory of Change

Kashvi Udaan is based on the belief that:
“When dropout learners gain access to high-quality, flexible online education tailored to their realities, they are empowered to complete their formal education, unlock new opportunities, and chart a path toward self-reliance and meaningful participation in the economy and society.”

This is enabled through:

  • A digital-first approach that allows anytime, anywhere learning
  • Online Zoom Classes, Focussed Whatsapp Groups, Practice Tests, and an effective online delivery of the curriculum aligned with the NIOS syllabus
  • Tech-enabled mentoring, ensuring personalized support
  • Online community networks for social support and motivation

The Kashvi Udaan team consists of digital learning experts, virtual mentors, and content creators who design and manage the online learning experience. From conducting live sessions to tracking learner progress, this tech-savvy team ensures that dropout learners across geographies can study for NIOS exams anytime, anywhere. With a strong focus on flexibility, learner engagement, and mobile-first delivery, the Udaan team is bringing classrooms into homes and handheld devices.
