Kashvi Manzil

On-site Learning

The Kashvi Manzil Programme

Kashvi Manzil is a structured learning pathway that supports girls and women who have stepped away from school to re-enter education with confidence and clarity. The programme brings basic literacy, Grade 10 and Grade 12 NIOS preparation, and essential life skills together in an accessible, community-based setting where learning feels safe, steady, and achievable.
Manzil centres operate close to where learners live, allowing women to study at their own pace while managing household and caregiving responsibilities. At its core, Kashvi Manzil creates a bridge: from limited opportunities to renewed capability, from hesitation to participation. It offers women the space, guidance, and tools they need to return to learning and gradually move toward meaningful livelihood pathways through the larger Kashvi ecosystem.

Kashvi Manzil Aims To

  • Enable women to achieve basic functional literacy and numeracy.

  • Support out-of-school girls and women (15+ years) in completing their education through the National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS).

  • Provide structured training in life skills such as decision-making, communication, and leadership.

  • Create local learning ecosystems that foster dignity, self-agency, and community transformation.

Theory of Change

Kashvi Manzil operates on a core premise:

When out-of-school girls (15+ years) and women are offered accessible learning spaces that integrate basic literacy, essential life skills, and structured educational support within an environment of trust and encouragement, they are better equipped to continue their studies, make informed decisions, and participate more confidently in their families and communities.

This is enabled through:

  • Accessible learning centres in high-need communities
  • Locally trained facilitators and mentors
  • A curriculum that evolves from basic literacy to NIOS-accredited academic content, life skills, and vocational exposure
  • Ongoing family, peer, and community engagement

Our Team

Kashvi Manzil Team – Anchored in the Community

The Kashvi Manzil team is made up of field-based educators, local mentors, and programme coordinators who deliver in-person learning in high-need communities. Our facilitators are often women from the same villages as the learners, trained not just in literacy and numeracy pedagogy but also in life skills, safeguarding, and learner support. With a focus on safe spaces, trust-building, and holistic education, this team is the backbone of our on-site learning ecosystem.

Case Stories

Before joining Kashvi Manzil, I had never imagined I could finish school. My days were spent helping at home, and education felt like a closed chapter.

Through Kashvi, I passed Class 10 and now not only am I studying for my Class 12 from Kashvi Udan, but I also working as a part time in shop. This program gave me confidence, purpose, and independence.

I had dropped out after Class 8 due to family pressures and thought my dreams were over. Kashvi Manzil gave me a second chance at learning in a way that fit my life.

I’m now preparing for my Class 12 exams from college and hope to become a school teacher. I want to help other girls believe that it’s never too late to learn.
